Boundary Commission for Scotland
The Boundary Commission for Scotland is an Advisory Non-departmental Public Body of the Scotland Office. It is an independent, non-political body constituted by the Parliamentary Constituencies Act 1986 with duties under that Act and Schedule 1 to the Scotland Act 1998.
The Commission is responsible for reviews of:
- constituencies and regions for the Scottish Parliament
- constituencies in Scotland for the Westminster Parliament
Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland
The Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland is an Advisory Non-departmental Public Body of the Scottish Government. It is an independent, non-political body created by the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.
The Commission is responsible for reviews of:
- boundaries of local authority areas
- electoral arrangements for local authorities
